About the Item
A wonderful diamond, pearl, and ruby swan pin from the Edwardian (ca1910s) era! This lovely piece is crafted in 18k yellow gold and platinum, and depicts a romantic swan. The torso of the swan features a uniquely-shaped bezel set pearl. The graceful bird's neck, wing, and head are adorned with pave set diamonds, which beautifully complement the pearl detailing. The bird's eye is depicted by a small red ruby, which beautifully glistens in the light. The piece carries a wonderful 3-dimensional look and on the back is a secure pin clasp. It's a simply beautiful piece and would look great worn alone or with a group of other pins!
Measurements: The pin measures approximately 1 1/4" tall, 1 1/2" wide and has a depth of 1/4".
Condition: The overall condition of the pin is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the gold or platinum setting and all of the diamonds and the central pearl and ruby are secure and intact. The pin clasp is secure and in good working condition.
