About the Item
Emerald and Diamond Brooch, c.1910
A striking early-20th-century brooch crafted in platinum over gold, designed in an elegant openwork motif that shows off its craftsmanship from every angle. The piece is millegrain-set throughout with a fine spread of old brilliant-cut and rose-cut diamonds, bringing crisp sparkle across the entire surface.
At the centre sits a rectangular step-cut emerald with strong colour, framed by two bright old-cut diamonds (approx. 0.50ct total) that anchor the design and balance the composition beautifully. The brooch measures 3.4cm and has the refined, hand-finished detail you expect from quality Edwardian work.
Offered in visually perfect condition and in it’s original fitted box from The Bristol Goldsmith Alliance, 30 College Green, Bristol — a rare survival that adds charm and provenance.
A superb example of Edwardian jewellery: elegant, refined, and made to be treasured.
