About the Item

Harriet Bauknigt designed this impressive Lucite pin brooch for Kaso in the 1980s. The geometric wave shape is all carved and has a frosted texture and laminated multilayer design with yellow, orange, red, and transparent colors. The brooch still has, at the back, the "Kaso" brand logo sticker. Harriet Bauknight is an American Fashion designer who worked in the 1980s and the 1990s under the brand Kaso. She is well-known for her extravagant jeweled lucite handbags and fashion accessories. Measurements: 1.19 in wide (3 cm) x 4.82 in long (12.2 cm) x 0.38 in thick (0.9 cm).

A porcelain brooch designed by Johan Gerard van Loon for Rosenthal. This is a very unusual sculptural brooch, designed by the Dutch artist Johan Gerard Van Loon and produced by the German porcelain company of Rosenthal, back in the 1970's. The beautiful abstract piece of art is made of white glazed porcelain and accented in three matte colors of polychrome metallic such; gold, blue, purple and orange. Johan Van Loon Johan Gerard van Loon born in Rotterdam in 29 October 1934. He was a Dutch ceramist and textile artist. In 1958 he took pottery classes from the Amsterdam potter Jos Eppens van Veen, ] in 1960 from Thera Hofstede Crull, and in 1961 at the Camberwell College of Arts in London under Lucie Rie.
