About the Item
This lovely mid-century openwork oval-shaped brooch is set with a faceted garnet in the middle. The silver has an openwork floral structure with swirling motifs, while the border has a repeating old Greek design. Which makes this romantic brooch absolutely gorgeous.
The silver is a little darker with an aged patina on some parts of the brooch, this brings a lot of depth and contrast to the brooch. We think the darkness suits the slightly romantic feel of the piece, instead of polishing the brooch to get a more shiny result. The brooch is in good condition, the pin at the back runs good but is slightly bent.
