About the Item

A late Victorian enameled fish brooch, the fish delicately hand-enameled in blue and pink, speared by a yellow gold bar with natural pearl termination, all to a yellow gold brooch fitting, circa 1890, measuring approximately 5.1x1.2cm, gross weight 6.6 grams. Victorian brooch in good condition. Unmarked metal tested as 18ct Gold. A lovely example of late-Victorian jewellery based on a sporting theme from the collection of Bentley Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to His Majesty King Charles III. This beautifully enameled fish has fascinating detailing. Covered in blue and pink iridescent scales, the fish appears to have been speared through by the pin, capped by a single natural pearl. Should you choose to make this purchase we will delighted to send it to you in a Bentley Skinner handmade leather case packed in a gift-wrapped Bentley Skinner black and gold presentation box. Shortly afterwards we will send you on a valuation for insurance purposes for your reference and safekeeping.
