About the Item

"Let 'er Buck" is an intricately hand-engraved vintage art jewelry pin in Sterling Silver with gold wash by renown jeweler and sculptor Kit Carson. This wonderful narrative work depicting the 'Bucking Bronc' icon of the American Southwest features detailed hand engraving in Sterling Silver with a Ruby stone set in the horse's eye. Signed, 'Kit Carson, El Rito, N.M., 1992' .925" This piece is in like-new condition and has not been previously worn. I am its original owner. A rare opportunity to acquire a vintage example of the artist Kit Carson's work in pristine original condition. Influenced by the Art Nouveau, Carson's work pays homage to the romanticism of the 1950s American West. His jewelry is made with sterling silver, high-karat gold, and precious and semi-precious gemstones. Carson was the first featured artist on the 2007 Peabody Award-winning PBS series "Craft In America" and is included in Marquis Who's Who in American Art (2020). His work is extensively represented in private collections including Elton John, Bruce Springsteen, Joni Mitchell, George Clooney, Robert Redford, Robert Rauschenberg, and Jack Nicholson. The late Robin Williams, a collector, described Kit Carson as "Rene Lalique meets Dr. Seuss at the High Noon Bar."
