About the Item
A truly stunning pair of abstract diamond drop clip on earrings from the early 1950' s, set in platinum and 18k yellow gold. These earrings are beautifully crafted and each prominently feature a swirl and spray effect design.
Within each earring the main body is designed as a half swirl set with exactly 17 round brilliant cut diamonds. From the bottom of this swirl we see 6 sprays set with baguette cut diamonds, which are all accented with a marquise cut diamond drop. The centre 2 baguette cut sprays have an additional round brilliant cut diamond to give the pair some variation and contrast in the shape.
These are are truly unique pair of earrings which are a perfect reflection of one another and they echo the Art Deco era. The hanging marquise drops allow the earrings to constantly sparkle when on the ear. They are secured with a clip fitting but can have a post added for individuals with pierced ears.
There is an approximate carat weight of 5.45carats. Total length of earrings: 33mm, total width: 21mm. These come in their own fitted box.
