About the Item
Clip on earrings designed by Andrew Clunn.
Beautiful pair of earrings, created in New York city at the jewelry atelier of Andrew Clunn. These clips-on earrings has been crafted with wavy patterns in solid rich yellow gold of 18 karats and platinum for the settings of the diamonds. All is finished with high polish and embellished with applications of black enamel. They has been designed as a left and right, fitted with posts for pierced ears and comfortable hinged French omega backs for fastening clips.
Diamonds: Mounted in flush settings, with 32 calibrated round brilliant cut diamonds, 1.28 carats, white colorless E/F color, VS-2 clarity.
Weight: 32.75 Grams, (21.05 Dwt).
Measurements: 30 mm by 18 mm (1.18 x 0.71 Inches).
Hallmarks They are both stamped with the maker's mark, the marks for the assay of the gold and the platinum and signed, "A. CLUNN 18KT PLAT".
Andrew Clunn
He was born in England and moved to the United States where he worked as an apprentice to David Webb from 1963 until Webb’s death in 1975. During his 12 years of apprenticeship, he became a trusted employee and eventually become Webb's right hand man and worked with well-known clients including Elizabeth Taylor and the Duchess of Windsor. In 1980, Clunn opened his own jewelry studio on Madison Avenue in New York City specializing in unique and distinctive jewelry designs for distinguished families in Europe and North America. He died in February 2016 in Rye,
