About the Item
Pair of earrings designed by Andrew Clunn.
Gorgeous pair, created in New York city by the famed jewelry designer Andrew Clunn. These earrings has been crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats and finished with high polish. Suited with omega backs for fastening clips and the posts for pierced ears can be easily added if need it.
Embellished with six elongated cabochons carved from natural black and white nacre,
They have a combined weight of 29.9 Grams and a measures of 26 mm by 16 mm (1.02 x 0.63 Inches).
Stamped, with the maker's mark, the gold assay hallmark and signed, "A, CLUNN 18 KT".
Andrew Clunn, born in England, and moved to the United States where he worked as an apprentice to David Webb from 1963 until Webb’s death in 1975. During his 12 years of apprenticeship, he became a trusted employee and eventually become Webb's right hand man and worked with well-known clients including Elizabeth Taylor and the Duchess of Windsor. In 1980, Clunn opened his own jewelry studio on Madison Avenue in New York City specializing in unique and distinctive jewelry designs for distinguished families in Europe and North America. He died in February 2016 in Rye, NY.
