About the Item
A glorious deep ruby red gives this eye catching brooch and earrings its charm and allure. Set in black lacquered metal with teardop and round pastes, in a very three dimensional design, this is a very wearable set, either together or individually. Only the brooch is signed.
Founded by Joseph Warner in 1953 in the United States, the Warner company produced jewellery till 1971, when it ceased operations. Known for its high quality workmanship, Warner costume jewellery was made of metal of gold tone, lacquered metal, and enamel, often decorated with crystal pastes, and superior rhinestones. Traditionally, Warner costume jewellery included flower designs, insects, animal and figural motifs as well as their gilt ‘day-night’ flower brooches that open and closed mechanically.
