About the Item
Pair of clips-earrings designed by Jean Vendome (1930-2017).
A rare sculptural pieces, created by the artist-jeweler Jean Vendome (Ohan Tuhdarian) in Paris, France at the beginning of the 1970's.
This three-dimensional unique design was crafted in solid white gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. They are suited, with comfortable French omega backs for fastening clips. The posts option for pierced ears can be easily added.
They are mounted, with a pair of irregular rough cuts of natural black sphalerite crystal formations and six bezel settings, with round brilliant cut diamonds, 0.90 carats, F/G color, VS-2 clarity.
Have a total weight of 29.6 grams and a measures of 29 by 22 by 13 mm (1.14 x 0.87 x 0.51 inches).
Stamped, with French hallmarks; the national eagle/s head for the assay and guaranty of the 18 kt gold, the maker's maitre cartouche OT, for Ohan Tuhdarian associated to the mark of jean Vendome and signed, "VENDOME PARIS".
Note: This pieces are one-of-A-kind custom made, from the period of 1970 to 1974.
Note: A curious fact about these pieces is that they were made in white gold instead of the traditional yellow gold, not many pieces from Vendome are crafted in white gold.
Collateral: They are an important collector's piece, accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.
Condition: The overall condition of this earrings is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. All the gemstones, are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
