About the Item
Highly esteemed jewelry designer, Charles Turi began his craft in native Romania. After moving to Paris, France in 1950 he finely honed his skills. After a time there he landed on US shores and set up shop in New York City. There, with a mind to American style and fashion, he created and released many wonderful and bold designs that will no doubt be perrenially regarded and enjoyed. This particular example of his work is a pair of 18K yellow gold, bombe, fluted, 1 1/4 inch diameter clip on earrings. Deep bombe, fluted lines add drama to this large and deftly crafted pair. Each earring is signed TURI 18k on the reverse side, and clip backs are stamped 750, designating 18k gold. This very versatile pair of earrings will surely become a treasured addition to any jewelry collection. Gross weight 44.15 grams.
