About the Item
Beautifully designed and masterfully handcrafted these chic and elegant 1950s ear clips by Marianne Ostier are truly a piece of art on the ear. The center pieces of these stylish ear clips feature a pair perfectly matching large lustrous smooth white South Sea pearls sitting on top of 6 beautiful white bright marquis shape and 2 round brilliant cut diamonds, all set at different levels as to create a true three dimensional look. The total diamond weight is approximately 6.5 carats. Secured by a wide omega clip back with the letter MO within a frame stamped on the back, for Marianne Ostier.
Marianne Ostier was a third generation Austrian jeweler that fled the Nazi occupation at the beginning of the war and settled in the United States continuing her work to become a successful and desired jeweler to socialites throughout the country. Her business closed in 1969 after the passing of her husband but her pieces remain highly desirable and collectable until this day.
