Brooch and earrings parure designed by Anton Janda. Magnificent set composed by a brooch and a pair of earrings, created in Vienna Austria back in the 1950 by the master goldsmith Anton Janda. This set was carefully crafted in the desired art nouveau style in solid white gold of 18 karats with high polished finish and embellished with a great assortment of natural earth mined gemstones. The Delicate nephrite and the rock quartz of an almost transparent lilac were exceptionally carved into the shapes of flowers in bloom, a bud and sepal with stems, and a full leaf complete with tiny, polished edges and realistic veins. The earrings are made as a right and left and are fitted with posts for pierced ears and hinged French omega backs for fastening clips. The brooch is fitted with a double hinged pin bars with a trombone security lock. Diamonds: Mount in four-prongs settings, with 18 European round cut diamonds, 0.54 carats, white colorless F/G color, VS-2 clarity. Gemstones: Mount with 3 pieces, carved in the shape of leaves from natural nephrite green jade. Others: Embellished with 18 elements carved in the shape of lilies from natural translucent rock quartz. Weight: 41.95 Grams, (26.89 Dwt). Brooch Measurements: 95.25 mm by 60 mm (3.75 x 2.36 Inches). Earrings measurements: 35 mm by 16 mm (1.38 x 0.63 Inches). Hallmarks: Stamped with Austrian marks in use since 1922, six times with the W for the city of Vienna (Wien), the maker's mark AJ, the mark .750 for the assay and warranty of the gold and signed with the cartouche mark associated to Anton Janda. Note: Carved gemstone flowers have been a specialty in Austria and Germany for many years.
