A pair of mid-20th century tutti-frutti clip earrings, each clip with a diamond-set frame of geometric design, grain-set with round brilliant-cut diamonds estimated to weigh 2.5 carats in total, to the centre with two emerald, two sapphire and two ruby carved leaves in claw- setting, all mounted in white gold with gold clip fittings, the emeralds estimated to weigh 3 carats in total, the sapphires estimated to weigh 4 carats in total and the rubies estimated to weigh 5 carats in total, circa 1950, later hallmarked 18ct gold, London 2020, each clip measuring 3 x 1.7cm, gross weight 14.4 grams.
A pair of mid-20th century tutti-frutti clip earrings in excellent condition.
A fabulous vintage pair of Tutti-Frutti style earrings. Tutti Frutti style jewellery was popularized by Cartier in the early twentieth century and used carved jewels from India. The name “Tutti Frutti” means “all fruits” and points to the fruit-like appearance of the carved gemstones. This pair of earrings features carved sapphires, emeralds, and rubies, set within a geometric frame of glittering diamonds. Recently, Tutti Frutti jewellery has been worn by Queen Maxima of the Netherlands. This bold and colourful pair of earrings comes from the collection of Bentley
