About the Item
This is a rare pair of museum quality Etruscan Revival Victorian Coral Earrings and Brooch. The parure set has gorgeous hand carved three dimensional flowers of natural coral. The carving of the flowers is absolutely exquisite! The larger flowers have pearl centers. The flowers are set in a bloomed 14 Karat gold leaf motif setting that is the work of a master artisan. With stunning fully formed natural coral flowers and gold leaves, the earrings and brooch are an exquisite example of Victorian jewelry making. The jewels date to circa 1860-1900.
The earrings are in excellent period condition. The brooch may have a tiny bit of loss of coral on one petal.
The earrings are 1 1/2 inches (37mm) long, and 7/8 inches (21mm) wide. They have clips. The earrings can be easily converted to posts if desired. Together they weigh 14 grams.
The brooch is 2 1/2 inches (64mm) tall, and 1 3/8 (35mm) wide. It weighs 16.6 grams.
