Unveil the elegance of antiquity with these 2000 year old Ancient Roman Bronze Lion Head Earrings in 14 Karat Gold. The imagery of these ancient Roman Bronze lions is extremely rare and wonderful. The lion heads date to the 1st to 2nd century AD (1-200 AD). The 14 Karat Gold shepherd hooks are later additions.
We also have a matching roman lion head bracelet.
The intricate details and fine quality casting of the lions showcase the skill of the ancient Roman craftsmen. The patina on the bronze is exquisite. It is very rare to find animal motif jewels from the Roman period and these examples are in extraordinary condition with superb design. While 2000 years old, the lion earrings have elements of modern design that make them as contemporary as they are ancient. How extraordinary!
