About the Item
These magnificent earrings were made in Italy in the second quarter of the 19th century. The upper part of the earrings are designed as stylized butterflies from which elaborate girandoles are suspended. About 200 natural salt water pearls of different shape and size Natural saltwater pearls of varying sizes have been threaded onto 10 karat gold wire to make up these outstanding earrings. The pearls are intricately threaded to a frame. The articulated earrings bring the pearls to life. The hues of the pearls range from white, pinkish white to silvery grey and slightly golden tones..
