About the Item

Old European Earrings with all metal parts in solid 14 Gold and Paste Glass successfully imitating a couple of Grape clusters in shapes and colors. Multiple dark Blue orbs dotted with fused shiny metallic particles look very much like Lapis Lazuli, with red faceted ends imitating Rubies or Garnets.All beads are stringed on thick solid 14K Gold twisted wires. All paste parts are stringed on thick 14K gold wires /there are 4 wires on each unit. In the center, there are additional thick solid 14K Gold supporting poles that make these constructions firmly rigid and stable. Origin, period: purchased in Hungary, maybe Austrian, German or Czech, ca late XIX - early XX cent. No hallmarks. Measurements: Each piece is 60 mm long. Weight: 16 grams. Wearing heavy earrings without stretching Your Earlobes The only thing you need is already sitting in your bathroom cabinet. This old-school secret has long been shared at the beauty counters of department stores as a way to keep earlobes from becoming permanently stretched after years of wearing beautiful earrings, and all you need is a basic Band-Aid from your bathroom drawer. This is how it works : You take a regular-sized Band-Aid and cut it so that you’re left with around one inch. Next, put on your earring, piercing through the bandage before securing the back of the earring. At this point, the snippet of Band-Aid is basically layered between the backside of your earlobe and the earring back. Instantly, you’ll not only notice the lack of pressure, pain, and physical heaviness; but also a visible difference in how the earring looks more supported from the front, rather than dragged down. If you put on one earring regularly and the other with this method, it’s easy to see the drastic contrast between how much each earlobe is supported. Now, this trick is primarily helpful for earrings that are dangly or heavy. For extra heavy earrings, consider purchasing thicker Band-Aids. If you’re wearing studs, it won’t make quite as noticeable of a difference. However, for frequent earring wearers who are concerned about long-term stretching and sagging, it can be a beneficial habit. Moreover, if you’re someone who wishes to wear more statement earrings but refrains due to the discomfort, get ready to expand your jewelry box. Gemstones may often look differently in different light and weather conditions and time of the day, both indoors and outdoors. Stones of the rings photographed alone may look a bit differently when on hand because your finger makes the back side of the stone closed and light no longer can go through and the color becomes different. Stones with closed backs may seem darker than stones with open backs. Such nuances of color perception do not give any excuse to claim item to be not as described. Some buyers tried to make return of the items and to avoid paying shipping and restock expenses claimed that : " color is different from that on image .. " there are inclusions that I didn't notice " "it looks smaller than I expected" ! Unfortunately Internet sales do not allow us to see the items in person before we get them by post. Minor color deviations may be possible. So If you want to be be absolutely sure about the colors or other qualities of the items that you want to buy - please buy at physical shops and avoid internet shops. Do not buy here. CUSTOM WORK : About Resizing: Resizing of rings can be done on request. The work will be done by experienced professional jeweler. Note: We will not be responsible for any physical/color changes that may occur as a result of heating of the stones during the process of resizing. We will not be responsible if in the process of resizing or customization any stone on the ring becomes loose, if any deformation occurs in general or if band of the ring changes shape or becomes deformed. Such misfortunes may occur very seldom, but cannot be ruled out when dealing with old jewelry for any sizing requires heating and change of the band's shape. Polishing of the band is always a final step of any resizing but machinery used for polishing causes vibration that old rings (with prongs for example ) often do not like at all. It is often difficult or impossible to get an accurate characteristics of the weight , color and nature of inclusions without removing the stones from the settings to be weighed and examined and doing that may damage the piece.
