About the Item
A pair of Edwardian seed pearl, diamond, and yellow gold earrings, each comprising four tiny diamond chips, one seed pearl, and eight half seed pearls, set in 18 karat yellow gold with 18 karat yellow gold fittings.
These delicate earrings are formed as pearl-set circlets, each set with 8 shimmering seed pearls, which are pale, lustrous, and well-matched with one another. The pearls are within closed-back settings, creating a scalloped shape. The pearl circlets drop from a slim, diamond shaped openwork panel, which is topped in white gold, to which a seed pearl is set to the centre, and pairs of diamond chips are held within bezel settings, at the top and bottom. The drops are articulated, giving them graceful movement. The drops are suspended from beaded yellow gold ear hooks. The earrings are in good condition. Wear and tear acquiescent with age.
