A magnificent pair of Day-to-Night earrings from the Georgian (ca1750s) era! Crafted in 15kt yellow gold and topped in sterling silver, these incredible earrings begin with an elegant floral cluster of 9 Rose Cut diamonds in patinaed collet settings. The cluster secures to the ear with hinged European back-to-front wires, one hand marked with “40". An elegant chandelier of Rose Cut diamonds can be threaded through the European wires, converting the pair from Day to Night, dangling with lovely movement. A total of twenty-one Rose Cut diamonds adorn the addition. Three tiers of three diamonds dangle from the setting, glittering as they catch the light and beautifully frame the face. The diamonds have a collective approximate total weight of 2.5ctw and are held in open-backed settings, allowing light to dance through, enhancing their sparkle.
