About the Item
These earrings feature antique mother-of-pearl Chinese gambling counters with motifs dating back to the 18th Century. They were carved in China for export to Britain. The British used them like we would use a poker chip and played various games with them. Each gaming counter is finely engraved and is set in a handmade 18k yellow gold and blackened silver mounting inspired by the architecture of Ancient China. Handmade by our jewelers in Los Angeles. A real conversation piece!
