A pair of Victorian diamond, and yellow gold earrings, each comprising one old mine cut diamond, set in 18 karat yellow gold, with 18 karat yellow gold hook backs.
My favourite thing about these Victorian 18K Yellow Gold Diamond Earrings, is the sparkling diamonds. What’s yours? Perhaps the elegant design? Or the perfect length?
A pair of dainty Victorian diamond earrings, each set with a cushion shaped old mine cut diamond. The diamonds are held within slender claw settings, allowing plenty of light to pass through and aid sparkle, the settings attractively shaped as flowers. The diamonds are bright, white, sparkly and well-matched with one another, with good clarity and colour; a lovely pair of diamonds. From the diamond settings, an elongated pear-shaped drop is suspended, and above, a scrolling motif, with a gold bead at its centre. These design elements remind me of quilling designs (a craft where thin paper strips would be rolled and shaped to create intricate designs). The drops are suspended from ear hooks, each with a large gold bead. The earrings are fully articulated, to allow movement. The earrings have a bloomed finish, which is a fine layer of pure gold, giving a luxurious finish. The earrings are in good condition. Wear and tear acquiescent with age.
