THIS IS A WONDERFUL AND VERY RARE ORIGINAL PAIR OF ART DECO DANGLE DROP EARRINGS IN STERLING SILVER SET WITH FACETED AMETHYST GEMS AND MARCASITES. THE EARRINGS DATE TO CIRCA 1920 AND ARE OH SO HARD TO FIND.
The earrings a masterpiece of Art Deco design and construction. The oval faceted natural mined Amethyst gems are absolutely gorgeous and combined with the ornate open work silver set with Marcasites create jewels of great beauty. The tops of the earrings have two square set marcasites with a round set marcasite below. Below hang the fabulous amethyst drops. We have left the original patina intact and you may polish them if you prefer. The earrings are marked Sterling with a maker's mark that is difficult to decipher.
The earrings are Art Deco masterpieces. They are perfect to wear everyday or at the most glamorous affair. They are an absolute delight.
The earrings are 1 1/2 inches (40mm) long and 12mm wide.
