INDULGE IN A WONDERFUL AND VERY RARE ORIGINAL PAIR OF ART DECO DANGLE DROP EARRINGS IN STERLING SILVER SET WITH HEXAGONAL BLACK ONYX GEMS AND MARCASITES. THE EARRINGS ARE A DRAMATIC
2 1/2 INCHES LONG AND THEY DATE TO CIRCA 1920 AND ARE OH SO HARD TO FIND.
The earrings a masterpiece of Art Deco design and construction. The hexagonal six sided natural mined Black Onyx gems are absolutely gorgeous and combined with the ornate open work silver set with Marcasites create jewels of great beauty. The tops of the earrings have a marcasite set in a triangular setting. Below hang the fabulous long onyx drops. The earrings evoke the wonder of the Art Deco period and the iconic Chrysler Building in New York. I love the fabulous length of the earrings, the five graduated feather sections at the bottom and the wonderful M shaped open work. We have left the original patina intact and you may polish them if you prefer. The earrings are marked 925 for Sterling Silver.
The earrings are Art Deco masterpieces. They are perfect to wear everyday or at the most glamorous affair. They are an absolute delight.
