About the Item
Two magnificent Tahitian pearls and two filigree rose gold discs make for one pair of gorgeous and important new earrings by Eytan Brandes.
Each of Eytan's lacy openwork discs -- a component he's used for years and for many jewelry designs -- is cast in 14 karat rose gold, hand-finished and set with a lively little earth-mined diamond (G-H color and VS1-2 clarity).
The pearls are exceptional round cultured undyed (of course) Tahitians. One pearl is 13.1mm and the other is 13.4mm. Both are from Continental Pearls, founded in 1966, with offices in Japan, Hong Kong and Los Angeles. Continental deals exclusively in cultured saltwater and high-end freshwater pearls.
Both pearls boast high quality luster, shape and color. Flaws are limited to a few surface pits, most oriented to face the back. They are well-matched, color-wise, but one has a little more blue than the other.
These earrings have posts; butterfly backs in 14 karat rose gold are included.
