Gurhan 24K and 18K Gold Smoky Quartz Drop Earrings, 1990 These Gurhan earrings feature an elongated briolette cut smoky quartz drop, wrapped with hand hammered 24k gold. Th earring’s dangle is decorated with a diamond flower, bead set into 24k gold—an inverse of the gold and white circular motif that it is suspended from. The top piece is reminiscent of a sun, and the hand hammered gold catches light nicely and facets off beautiful patterns. Each earring contains 25 single cut diamonds that add a wonderful sparkle. Like all Gurhan pieces, these earrings were made in Turkey. Gurhan pioneered the return of pure 24k gold into contemporary jewelry.
