About the Item

Pneus convertible drop earrings designed by Marina B. This iconic pair is one of the most desirable designs created by Marina Bvlgari in Milano Italy, back in the 1992. They are from the Pneus collection, called Cimin and was carefully crafted as a convertible day and night pair in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. Fitted at the reverse, with hinged French omega backs for fastening clips and the addition of posts for pierced ears can be easily added. The upper parts have a system to be opened and be dismounted to convert its from drops to clips. Diamonds: Mounted in a pave setting, with 144 round brilliant cut diamonds, 2.88 carats, white colorless E/F color, VS-2 clarity. Onyx: Accented with 4 parts carved from natural black onyxes. Russian Quartz: Mount on the top and the lower parts, with 4 round cushioned cabochon cuts of navy blue (20 mm) and forest green (15 mm) colors, carved from Russian quartz, with a combined weight of 70 carats. Weight: 38.3 Grams (24.55 Dwt.). Measurements: 45 mm by 20 mm (1.77 x 0.78 Inches). Hallmarks: Both are stamped with Italian marks; the maker's mark, the mark for the gold assay mark, the serial numbers and signed in full, "MARINA B MB .750 *2875AL ITALY A3305". Marina Bulgari, born in Rome in 1930, she is widely regarded as one of the most important women in jewelry of our time. Her adventurous and ambitious spirit led her to leave her family’s famed Maison in 1976 in order to launch Marina B. Determined and able to make her own name whilst honoring her family’s nurtured passion and talented heritage, Marina’s unique style became world-renown for its boldness and timelessness. Rich and opulent yet so very contemporary, Marina invented her own gemstone cuts in addition to reinventing many others. She successfully opened her first showroom in Geneva in 1978, which led to boutiques in Milan, Paris and New York and a worldwide clientele. Marina B’s modern vision and creative excellence inspired a first generation of women purchasing jewels for themselves. In its present day, Guy Bedarida brings the brand into the right now, with beautifully fitting collections that continue to embrace Marina’s innovative aesthetic.
