About the Item
These earrings feature antique mother-of-pearl Chinese gambling counters with motifs dating back to the 18th Century. They were carved in China for export to Britain. The British used them like we would use poker chips. (Please refer to the history of the gaming counter shown alongside the additional photographs of this piece.)
Each gaming counter is finely engraved and is set in a handmade 18k yellow gold and blackened silver mounting inspired by the architecture of Ancient China. Handcrafted by our jewelers in Los Angeles. These earrings are certainly conversation pieces!
