EunYoung has been involved in the fashion jewelry industries for over 20 years. She pursued her fashion career in South Korea and studied Jewelry Design and Metalsmithing at the Rhode Island School of Design. In addition, she has dedicated over 15 years at numerous jewelry design companies including Ippolita, Nine West Holdings, Stella Dot, and Judith Ripka as well as with other independent design brands. “I started Baubou to make jewelry for those free in spirit that celebrate individuality, adventure, and elegance. Each piece is a reflection of my imagination and commitment to detail and craftsmanship. Each collection represents a personal journey to me. While I’ve been involved with the fashion jewelry for over 20 years, every new one feels like the first and my passion and respect for the field has grown. As such, I adhere to perpetual learning; while the foundation of my work is based on traditional design techniques, I integrate new materials and methods in pursuit of creating evocative, unique pieces that truly resonate with people, while challenging myself in the process. At the end of the day, I want to make jewelry that make others happy, that can elicit a smile.
