About the Item
Eytan Brandes made these cool dangle earrings using three men's shirt studs, probably dating from the 1950's.
These were the kind of shirt studs shaped like barbells, with a middle post between two discs. How we ended up with only three of them is anyone's guess; rough night at the wedding, apparently.
But one man's rough night is another jeweler's ginchy idea, as the backs and fronts make nice little alternating drops for a pair of very modern, one-of-a-kind earrings.
Stamped 14K gold, but no maker's marks to help nail down when these were made. We think they're mid-Century based on their style and original (pre-polishing) condition.
Butterfly backs in 14 karat gold are included.
