Dangle drop cluster earrings designed by Picchiotti.
A breathtaking pair of dangle drop earrings, created in Valenza Italy by the jewelry house of Picchiotti. This gorgeous pair is a one-of-a-kind made following the drawings of Giuseppe Picchiotti. They were carefully crafted with impeccable details in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. They are embellished with a very fine selection of two-hundred-twenty natural earth mined diamonds and two South-seas white pearls. They are fitted at the reverse with posts for pierced ears and comfortable French omega backs for fastening clips.
South-Seas Pearls
South Sea pearls are prized for their large size and unique colors, as well as their high luster and smooth surface. They are also known for their rarity, as they are more difficult to cultivate than other types of pearls. The Pinctada maxima oyster can take up to five years to produce a single South Sea pearl, whereas more common freshwater oysters can take as little as three months and create dozens of pearls. This long cultivation process makes South Sea pearls rarer and more expensive. If you're looking to invest in a design to hand down to future generations, South Sea pearl jewellery is ideal. Highly sought after, these luxurious pearls are prized for their lustre, and make for distinctive legacy designs.
Diamonds: Mounted in flat pave settings, with 200 calibrated round brilliant cuts diamonds, 15.60 carats, white colorless F/G color, VVS clarity.
Diamonds: Mounted in channel settings, with 18 calibrated straight baguette cuts diamonds, 1.66 carats, white colorless F color, VVS clarity.
Diamonds: Mounted in four-prongs settings, with 2 matching round brilliant cut diamonds, 0.90 carats, white colorless F/G color, VVS clarity.
Pearls: Mount in dangle settings, with 2 matching South-Seas white pearls of 15 mm.
Birthstone: Pearls for the month of June.
Weight: 35.45 Grams, (22.74 Dwt).
Measurements: 55 mm to 18 mm (2.17 to 0.71 Inches).
Hallmarks Stamped with the maker's mark, the mark for the assay of the gold and signed, "PICCHIOTTI .750 *1952AL".
Picchiotti
The company was founded in Valenza, Italy, in 1967, the brand name Picchiotti defines always one-of-a-kind Fine Jewelry. The founder Giuseppe Picchiotti, over the course of five decades, has nurtured and fashioned the brand which has earned an international reputation for craftsmanship, quality and artistry. Coming from a long line of distinguished pharmacists, Giuseppe had to break with tradition to follow his dream. Against his family's wishes, at the age of 13, Giuseppe began working as a goldsmith. He apprenticed in a small workshop in Valenza where world-renowned artists were perfecting their craft. He moved on to study at Valenza's Istituto Professionale Orafo, obtaining the knowledge and training necessary to start his own atelier. Giuseppe opened his atelier with his sister, Annamaria. Today, this highly successful, world-renowned enterprise is run by Giuseppe and seven family members. Each family member is responsible for a different aspect of the company and each contributes greatly to its success. Picchiotti comments: "Since the very beginning I always liked the idea that one day I would surround myself with my children and relatives to help me with the business." Giuseppe Picchiotti has started a tradition of design mastery that will live on through generations – a tradition of fine craftsmanship – and a grand passion for excellence in the making of Fine Jewelry.
