About the Item
Vintage Sterling Silver scroll earrings were created by William Spratling c. 1945. Spratling was an American Architect who went to Mexico and was responsible for starting the Mexican silver jewelry industry in Taxco. These earrings show his architectural sense. I can imagine one as a standing large sculpture. Spratling hired the most famous silver jewelry artists to work with him. Most went on to open their own successful studios. These earrings are 1 inch long with gold posts. They are in excellent condition and light on the ear.
