After working for years alongside their father, a loose diamond dealer and professional jeweler, sisters Roshni and Reshma Kothari decided to branch out on their own. With graduate degrees from the Gemological Institute of America, the sisters’ expertly curated collections at Roshe Jewels are backed by insider industry knowledge. Specializing in fine jewelry, Roshni and Reshma’s San Dimas boutique offers collections that range from vintage styles to contemporary trends. While there are a myriad of white diamonds in the collection, Roshe Jewels’ bread and butter are colorful stones.

When speaking with 1stDibs about engagement rings with colorful stones, the Roshe Jewels founders suggest that buyers look for an evenly distributed saturation of color and a cut that shows it off.

“With aquamarine, the best shapes are emerald and oval cuts, which maximize an even amount of color throughout the stone,” says Roshni. “The color of the aquamarine can also be boosted by a cut that has higher crowns and deeper pavilions.”

From a nearly nine-carat pear-shaped amethyst ring surrounded by a halo of red sapphires to a 14-karat yellow-gold lariat tennis bracelet whose stones alternate between white diamonds and emeralds, the sisters’ best work is represented in Roshe Jewels’ candy-hued pieces.
