Simply beautiful and wearable, even to bed! That's why they are called Dormeuse, the French word for 'sleeper'. You will not want to take these amazing earrings off your lobes and you will be wearing them to bed. Set with the most divine old European cut diamonds with so much life and sparkle, yes the colour is of the warmer tone on the diamond grading chart, but it makes them so classically elegant and understated. They say that the old cut diamonds were cut so they sparkled by candlelight which gives them the warmest glow. Mounted in 18k yellow, rose and white gold - they are an interesting combination as it appears one earrings is a more 'rosy' tone than the other which is more yellow, but remember these earrings were crafted back in the days when technology was minimal and they had to use whatever metals were available at the time, that gives these such special meaning. The diamond content is one x 2.09ct drop diamond and one x 2.20ct diamond - both K-L colour, VS2 clarity. The top diamonds weigh a total of 0.16cts. The diamonds face up very bright and clean. Matching hallmarks are on both ear wires - French import marks Total carat weight is 4.45cts. Total weight of earrings is 4.90 grams Earrings drop 1.40cm The sit well on the ears too, sometimes this style of earring can fall forward but these wires sit comfortably in the ear and don't drop forward. There is also a very small clip at the back which locks into place on the lever which gives them a little more safety when wearing. Videos of these amazing earrings are available
