Amethyst and diamond drop earrings. A matching pair, each set with an octagonal emerald-cut natural amethyst, two in total, in an open back claw setting with a combined approximate weight of 6.72 carats, further set with two rectangular baguette cut diamonds, four in total, in open back claw settings with a combined approximate weight of 1.00 carats, each suspended from a square diamond, two in total, in an open back claw setting with a combined weight of 0.40 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.40 carats, to an articulated drop earring, flowing with movement, featuring polished edges, a linear pierced gallery and geometric open backholing, approximately 2.3cm in length, fitted to reverse with a secure post and butterfly. Earrings tested platinum, fittings tested white gold, circa 1950.
