A wonderful pair of 19th century Persian turquoise earrings with a snake and heart motif in their original box from a jeweller in Newcastle Upon Tyne. The Snake motif was extremely popular in the Victorian Era, and this pair of earrings combines the snake and heart symbolism. The Persian turquoise clusters around a central ruby on each earring.
