A pair of Victorian yellow gold, banded agate, and enamel earrings, each comprising two spheres of banded agate, and a panel of black and white enamel, in 18 karat yellow gold, with 18 karat yellow gold ear hooks.
My favourite thing about these Antique 18K Gold Agate and Enamel Earrings is the statement striped spheres. What’s yours? Perhaps the bold enamel? Or the powerful shape?
A pair of unusual Victorian earrings, that make a statement in bold black and white. Each earring begins with a spherical bead of black and white banded agate. From here, a panel of black and white enamel is suspended, adorned with a decorative gold bead. To this panel, a large, banded agate bead is attached. The spherical beads are beautifully smooth and glossy (making the earrings wonderfully tactile), their black and white bands perfectly referenced by the black and white enamel panel. The earrings are complete with their original yellow gold ear hooks, which are notably high quality and sturdy. The earrings have a bloomed finish, creating a finish with a thin layer of pure gold, giving a luxurious look. Very well-made earrings, weighty, but still comfortable to wear. The earrings are in great condition. Wear and tear acquiescent with age.
