About the Item
Equestrians love jewelry associated with horses and these small light earrings in the form of a horseshoe and riding crop were made for the sports enthusiasts.. They were created c. 1860-80 in England the period when sporting jewelry was popular. Realistically engraved and three dimensional the riding crop is braided and the horseshoes show their nails. The earrings are in lovely condition. They are extremely light on the ear and have no flaws. Enjoy them and the compliments they will bring. Clearly antique and clearly timeless. Length 7/8 of an inch.
