About the Item
Art Deco diamond drop earrings. A matching pair, each set to center with a cushion shape old mine diamond in an open back claw setting, two in total, with a combined approximate weight of 1.25 carats, encircled by twenty-six round eight-cut diamonds in open back grain setting, fifty-two in total, with a combined weight of 0.52 carats, and further set to top with eight round eight-cut diamonds, in open back rubover settings, sixteen in total with a combined weight of 0.16 carats, topped with a cushion shape old mine diamond, in an open back rubover setting, two in total with a combined weight of 0.46 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.39 carats to an elegant articulated pair of drop earrings, flowing with movement, featuring millegrain edging, intricately pierced galleries and fancy open backholing, fitted to reverse with secure post and circular disc fitting, approximately 4.5cm in length. Tested platinum and fittings marked 18 carat white gold, circa 1920.
