About the Item
Burmese ruby and diamond drop earrings. A matching pair of earrings, each set with two oval old cut natural unheated Burmese rubies in open back rubover settings, four in total with a combined approximate weight of 2.20 carats, each decorated with sixteen cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back rubover and cut-down settings, thirty-two in total with a combined approximate weight of 1.60 carats, to an articulated pair of drop earrings featuring polished borders, intricately pierced galleries with scalloped motifs and fancy shape open backholing, fitted to reverse with a secure post and scroll. Tested yellow gold and silver, circa 1860, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5786-0639.
