About the Item
These sweet, dangly earrings by Eytan Brandes feature a textured little diamond-shaped stud set with four diamonds over a dark baroque Tahitian pearl. They're casually fancy and fancily casual. They're casualancy!
The diamonds are recycled from Eytan's Big Pile of Leftover Diamonds -- stones that have been plucked from jewelry The Boss melted over the years. They're about 0.01 carats each, and a mix of single cuts and full cuts, all in the SI clarity range with colors ranging from G to J.
The Tahitian pearls are from Seven Seas (based in Los Angeles and Japan), which only deals in saltwater goods -- South Sea, Akoya and Tahitian; no freshwater and nothing from China.
Both pearls are fat drops, but they're baroque so, by definition, they are not perfect matches; we picked them because of their high luster and rich blue overtones.
All metal is 14 karat yellow gold, including the butterfly backs.
