These Fig Fruits cocktail earrings are made of 18 karat rose gold and feature detachable cabochon amethyst drops that allow light to pass through and two black diamonds. They were designed by the artist Polya Medvedeva and were featured in a Vogue UA review.
The sweet idea of a favourite fruit together with shining gold and gems make these earrings a contemporary piece of jewelry or a work of art by the artist, while the simplicity of the lines gives them a classy look. The cabochon amethyst gem drops can be paired with a strict black dress to add playful or sparkly notes, or with a colorful outfit to add elegance.
The sugar fig fruit is the equivalent of the forbidden apples in the Bible, and fig leaves were the only clothing for the first humans in the Garden of Paradise. In ancient myths, the fig tree is one of the sacred trees and symbolizes peace, fertility, generosity, and the richness of life. Dark purple ripe sweet figs serve as the source of eternal inspiration for the artist Polya Medvedeva in her oil paintings and jewelry designs.
