Amazing striking, and colorful vintage ring made in 20th-century Italy. Its simple structure is crafted from a single piece of blown glass in a deep orange, almost red, color where the beautiful flowers stand out. This millefiori ring exemplifies the rich tradition of Italian jewelry incorporating the glass technique. This technique, called millefiori, originated in the Murano region. It means "a thousand flowers" and consists of creating floral or geometric patterns using multicolored glass rods cut crosswise. Although it originated in ancient times, it was revived in the 19th and 20th centuries with the rise of Art Nouveau and artistic jewelry, which valued detailed and artisanal techniques. This ring is a contemporary example of the continuation of this artisanal tradition.
