About the Item
Wonderful Victorian Mine Diamond Earrings from the late 19th Century. Each diamond weighs conservatively .65 cts. for an approximate total weight of 1.30 carats.
Bright clean diamonds with wonderful color. No visible defects or inclusions under 10 power loupe. Stones have a nice "chunky" cut which are not slivers, seen only from the top face. Large open culet on back of each stone. Lovely Victorian simple gold settings allows stones to shine.
Usually earrings of this type had removable "coach covers" to hide and protect against robberies (many on coaches).
