A pair of pearl and diamond drop earrings, the top a cultured pearl suspending three old-cut diamonds set in square collets leading to pear shape cultured pearl drops, with screw fittings, circa 1920, measuring approximately 8.6cm in length, gross weight 4.4 grams.
This vintage pair of earrings is in very good condition for its age. Unmarked, tested as platinum with later added 9ct gold screw fittings.
A lovely and delicate pair of early twentieth century pearl and diamond earrings. These earrings feature a pearl top with a line set with lively diamonds culminating in a further lustrous pearl. Pearls and diamonds began to be used together in the simple and feminine styles of the Edwardian era, and the popularity of these materials carried into the 1920s. These simple yet stunning earrings come from the collection of Bentley
Skinner, Jewellers by Royal Appointment to His Majesty King Charles III and would be a lovely addition to a wedding dress.
