Exquisitely crafted in France during the 1950s, these sculptural Retro earrings embody the elegance and glamour of the post–Art Deco era. Designed in a dramatic scroll motif, the earrings are fashioned in 14K white gold and set with a dazzling combination of vintage diamonds and vivid calibre-cut rubies.
Pavé-set round brilliant diamonds totaling approximately 2.00 carats sweep across the curved silhouette, accented by a channel of richly colored calibre-cut rubies totaling approximately 1.00 carat. This pairing of bright diamonds with precisely cut rubies is a signature of mid-century French jewelry.
The craftsmanship is exceptional: an intricate triangular under-gallery, hand-fabricated and layered, reflects the skill of French workshops of the period. The earrings have been updated with secure post-and-omega backs for comfortable modern wear while retaining their original Retro character.
