About the Item
These contemporary Fig drop earrings are crafted from 14-karat yellow gold, adorned with a with detachable 12 mm Tahitian pearl and two diamonds. They have been featured in a review by Vogue UA. We use only top-quality natural diamonds, VS and F-G, and work with a German gem company that has been in the market since the 19th century.
The sweet idea of a favorite fruit, combined with shining gold, makes these earrings a contemporary jewel by the artist. While the simplicity of the lines still gives them a classic and classy look, the baroque pearls add an extra touch of elegance. They can be worn with a strict black dress to add a classic touch or paired with jeans for a more sparkly attitude.
The fig fruit is often seen as an equivalent of the bible's forbidden apple. The fig leaves were the only clothes for the first humans in the garden of paradise. Besides symbolizing fertility, sweet generosity, and the richness of life, figs also symbolize peace and enlightenment and refer to Buddha. The dark purple, ripe, sweet figs are a source of eternal inspiration for the artist Polya Medvedeva, whether in her oil paintings or jewelry designs.
