This is very rare pair of early Rose Cut Diamond Antique Georgian - Victorian Dangle Drop Day Night Earrings in 14 Karat Gold with a heart motif. These antique earrings are of the highest quality. They have extraordinary design with wonderful three dimensional elements. The earrings are Day Night earrings meaning that the lower portion is made to be removable so that you may wear only the top heart motif portion if desired. The earrings are gold work from the early to mid 19th Century, circa 1800 - 1850. The exquisite gold work is characteristic of the superb Spanish jewelers of the 18th and 19th century who created very special jewels with eternal appeal. Finding early earrings with rose cut diamonds is very rare.
The top heart motif portions are each set with a rose cut diamond in a raised collet with prong setting.
The lower sections have a further rose cut diamond. The wonderful architectural design of these earrings with the rose diamond adornment gives them a delightful airy effect while exhibiting very fine early Victorian style.
The earrings are 14 Karat Gold. They hang beautifully from the ear.
The earrings are 2 inches (52mm) long. The top portion when worn alone is 19mm long. The lower portions are 5/8 inch (15m) wide.
