About the Item
Vintage natural pearl and diamond earrings. A matching pair of earrings, each set with one drop shape natural saltwater pearl, one cream colour, approximately 11.9 x 9.0 x 8.9mm, one grey colour, approximately 11.9 x 9.4 x 8.4mm, further set with three rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back half rubover settings, all six with a combined weight of 1.30 carats, alternating with four round old cut diamonds in open back rubover settings, all eight with a combined weight of 0.80 carats and highlighted with twelve round eight cut diamonds in open back rubover and grain settings, all twenty four with a combined weight of 0.24 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.34 carats, to an elegant drop earring, flowing with movement, featuring an openwork fan to top, flowing through to an articulated diamond set bar and terminating in a pearl with scalloped cap, with linear pierced galleries, fancy open backholing and set to reverse with a secure post and butterfly fitting, approximately 5.3cm in length. Earring marked 14 carat white gold, butterfly tested white gold, American, circa 1950, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #79196-94.
